Impact starts with our members — people like you who want to be part of making the world a better place. At club meetings in communities across the globe, our members come together to strengthen their connections to friends and neighbors and their commitment to improving lives.
Membership is the core of Rotary International. From clubs in over 200 countries and membership of over 2.3 million, Rotary has the respect of the world. When there is a need in the world, Rotary is one of the first service organizations there to lend a helping hand; whether it is through providing shelter to those who have lost theirs, or going into countries to vaccinate against polio, to building wells to provide clean water in areas that do not have that precious resource.
Rotary focuses on the following in various ways: from basic education and literacy; to helping mothers and children; to disease prevention; to clean water and sanitation; to economic and community development ; and to peace and conflict prevention/resolution.
Within the Rotary organization, you connect with people. You make a difference in your community and the world. Go ahead, ask a Rotarian about Rotary and why it is important in their life.
