Bel Air Rotary Installs New Officers and Board
The Bel Air Rotary Club installed its new officers and board members at its annual summer celebration held at the newly renovated Rockfield Manor on Wednesday, July 30th.
Returning in their roles for a second year include President Greg Derwart, President-Elect Alex Necker, Treasurer Lesley Lookingbill, Assistant Treasurer Scott Keck, and Past President Ryan Stockson. New officers include Secretary April Cheatham and Sergeant-at-Arms Carolyn Evans.
Board members installed include Jay Ellenby, Amy Jahnigen, Katie Ramirez, Tony Steelman, Brenda Tackett, Jim Welch, and Bob Willenbrink.
The service organization engages in community service, fundraising, and fellowship activities throughout the greater Bel Air area, and was chartered in Bel Air in 1928. It is one of four clubs in Harford County, and one of 46,000 clubs around the world.
“‘Service above self’ is more than a Rotary slogan. It’s a mindset that we have an honor and responsibility to care for each other and our community,” said President Greg Derwart. “And the best thing about our Club is that we have fun doing it!”
The Club meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at noon, and recently moved its location to Pairings Bistro in Bel Air.
